COURBET x Santa
COURBET sets the tone with a collaboration featuring the star of French music: SANTA.
A year ago, she made headlines by performing her hit song "Popcorn Salé" on the piano, suspended 40 meters above the ground in the Brussels sky. Since then, she has continued to hone her talent for staging, always accompanied by poetic and committed lyrics delivered on the piano or guitar.
The encounter between COURBET and SANTA felt like destiny when the artist first visited the COURBET apartment on Place Vendôme. Deeply concerned about the issues surrounding gold and diamond mining and fascinated by lab-grown diamond technology, SANTA was instantly captivated. Over time, an idea began to take root: to translate her creative universe into jewellery while aligning with COURBET's values.
After several discussions with Marie-Ann Wachtmeister, Artistic Director of the Maison, a concept was born. The idea was to capture the power of a confident, globally-minded femininity in not just one, but two rings. These are more than just pieces of jewellery; SANTA envisions them as stage costumes, symbols that enhance her art.
These twin rings, crafted from 18k recycled white gold, are set with lab-grown white diamonds and two cabochon-cut synthetic emeralds, with lines evoking two eyes. Borrowing from the traditionally masculine imagery of the signet ring, they offer a contemporary and boldly audacious take on the pinky ring.
When SANTA places these two rings before her eyes, she radiates energy, embodying the shared philosophy with COURBET of beauty in service of commitment and humanistic values.
An entrancing melody drifts from Place Vendôme…
