Dillon Marsh : One Flew Over the Diamonds' Nest

Volcanoes, lakes and caves are the remains of millions of years of upheaval and life on earth. Elusive and mysterious, they are the visible memory of a bygone era. But what about the scars left by human activity?

COURBET celebrates the work of South African photographer Dillon Marsh who, through the series "For What It's Worth", materialises mining and its lasting impact on the environment. Gaping holes whose appearance denotes that of the diamonds inside them, and to which the jeweller COURBET has decided to commit itself since its creation in 2018.

Thanks to lab-grown diamonds and recycled gold from urban mines, the Maison is opening up a new path, this time away from the bowels of the Earth, providing an alternative to mining without compromising the very essence of jewellery: beauty and dreams. See Dillon Marsh's photograph of the Koffiefontein mine at the COURBET appartment, 7 Place Vendôme, Paris.
